Spector Pro Review
Summary: Our Spector Pro review shows a below average computer monitoring software that is way overpriced for what it offers and how it performs. The company seems to rely on their marketing team more than their software development team in order to generate sales, as this software is well behind other computer monitoring programs.
Although it does perform basic monitoring functions, it struggles to keep up with the competition who offers better features at a much lower cost. We also found that it had a negative impact on our computers performance and cause our system to freeze on a few occasions during testing for our spector pro review.
Spector Pro Review
Installation: Installation was relatively simple and shouldn’t be a problem for most users. This was one positive of this Spector Pro review.
Monitoring performance: Here’s the thing – we don’t want to make our Spector Pro review sound overly negative. Because in reality, the software does provide the ability to monitor a computer. But our issue is that it just doesn’t perform the job as well as the other options that are available.
Yes, it will let you see what websites someone went to. And it keeps tracks of emails sent and received. And there is a keylogger feature so that you can see what was typed. When you look at the features, it really doesn’t look too bad.
And each section does “work”, but my issue is that the program just isn’t as polished as other computer monitoring software out there. Although it does capture this information, it doesn’t present it in a way that I find very user-friendly. I find that navigating through the program and finding the results I need can be outright confusing at times.
As well, in our testing for this Spector Pro review, it did not capture all the activity. In the keylogging section in particular, it missed a lot of the activity that it should have recorded.
The results just weren’t what we expected, especially considering this program costs a good chunk more than the other computer monitoring programs we have on our recommended list. Whenever a company trys to sell an inferior product for more money, it shows they are relying on their marketing tactics more than anything else to drive sales.
The biggest headache I encoutered with Spector Pro was the impact it had on my computer’s performance. As soon as I installed it using the recommended settings, there was a noticeable slowing down in my computer. Even after numerous reboots my computer just wasn’t responding as it previously did – the program clearly was slowing it down. There was even cases where the system froze all together which forced me to restart the computer.
Spector Pro Review Conclusion
The Bottom Line: At $100, Spector Pro just doesn’t make the grade. As much as we had hoped to be able to write a positive Spector Pro review, it just isn’t possible. The program fails to perform as well as the competitors, slows down your computer and comes with a pricetag that is much too high.
